AIDILADHA RIDE to Chiang Rai

My third visit to Golden Triangle-Mae Hong Son loop and furthermore, we are doing Qurban on Eid Adha fourth day in Chiang Rai Muslim Orphan house... Six bikers with no backup on three touring and three dual purpose motorcycle.
Day 1 26 Oct 2012 Sungai Petani -- Thung Son
In the evening of Eid Adha we start our ride and was greeted by heavy rain before reaching Mal-Thai border. Once we cross the border the sky was clear and we continue to navigate through light traffic on route 41 to  Thung Son for a night there.

Day 2 27okt 2012 Thung Son--Nakhon Pathom--Suphan Buri
Clear sky with a good forecast for the day and after having a light breakfast at the hotel we are on the bike  again. Today is the real test as we need to cover 1000km in less than 8hr on route 4/321/340 and bypassing Bangkok to go up north.

We reach Suphan Buri around 5pm and we stay in beautiful affordable hotel . The task for tonight was to find Halal food in Suphan Buri as none of us been here before.

Found small Halal restaurant  from a taxi man and we didn't have much choice even though the restaurant hygiene wasn't good. As expected, two of us having mild diarrhea few hours after having dinner...

Day3 28 Oct 2012 Suphan Buri--Phayao--Chiang Rai
Still recovering from diarrhea last night, hoping nothing infectious and the medicine I took last night had taken effect by now.. Just taking fresh fruits for breakfast.

upon arriving Phayao town while searching for halal food and mosque, The KTM ADV losing it's rear brake. Fortunate for us all... we have been invited for a lunch and performed solat at imam house in Phayao.

Chiang Rai Night Bazaar
Day4 29 Oct 2012 Chiang Rai--Mae Pao--Golden Triangle--Mae Sai
Early in the Morning we left Chiang Rai to Ban Mae Pao situated 50 km from here to perform Qurban.. Three cattle have been prepared for us there. The KTM had to continue the ride without its rear brake since there is no shop open in the early morning.

after finished performed Qurban we continue our ride to Golden Triangle and Mae Sai for a night there..not far from Baan Mae Pao the BMW GT1300 having serious tyre puncture, we managed to repair it but the tyre now unsafe for long distance ride.

Our first attempt to repair the KTM rear brake at the road side workshop.. Only last 20km then no pressure again and found out the rubber seal on the rear brake plunger was worn out.. 
We reach the Golden triangle in the evening taken some photo of the memorial and buying a new design GT-T-shirt

Day5 30 okt 2012 Mae Sai--Chiang Mai
The trip has to reschedule... As we had to go down to Chiang Mai to find a decent workshop for the KTM and BMW

Day6 31 Oct 2012 Chiang Mai--Pai--Mae Hon Son
The most anticipated day by all riders as today we are going to concur the Mae Hon Son 1864 curves with fresh tires and new stopping power . The BMW and KTM were up early this morning.....

Day 7 1 nov 2012 Mae Hon Son--Mae Sariang--Hot--Thoen--Tak
New 1864 plate number on the back of all bike. Today we continue the loop and taking a different road compare to previous trip.. We are taking the loop back to Chiang Mai through MaeSariang, Hot and Tak. Completing the route 108... This was the best stretch with beautiful curves and scenery
