Cambodia, Burapa Bike Week 2013

This trip will be different from previous... I'm going to Cambodia by flight to pick up a bike and rendezvous with Vietnam group at Sihanouk Ville then back to Malaysia.

Day 1 13th Feb 2013 Phnom Penh -Kampot-Sihanouk Ville
Arrive in Phnom Penh from Kuala Lumpur around 0900hr by AIRASIA... On board in a flight with a full riding suit is awesome.. And was the longest 2hr flight for me.
After having breakfast at a Muslim restaurant in Phnom Penh... We lift up the bike at Holiday Villa Phnom Penh.. In just 30min we are on the Cambodian road riding south on secondary road 3 to Kampot and Sihanouk Ville. A dream come true for any bikers.. As last night at home-bed and this morning riding on Cambodia road....

Kawasaki GTR1400 and Kawasaki Versys 650
Road condition from Phnom Penh was acceptable, but very dangerous to those who are not familial left side driving and Cambodia style traffic, dominated by big V8 landcruiser.... As incoming car, heavy vehicle going to overtake they just ignore us on two wheels and we have to give way to them... As we out of Phnom Penh the road became very dusty, some have very deep pothole and loose gravel.... Have to take extra caution when negotiating this road as I'm not on my trusties Yamaha SuperTenere...

Local fruits along side the road to Kampot
Sweet and sour, refreshing taste
Big King Fruit at Kampot roundabout

Durian local King Fruit.. Is not the same taste of what we have in Malaysia
Old bridge on secondary route 3 at Kampot
Arrive at Sihanouk Ville around 2pm.. It was a beautiful Cambodia, Port town with breathtaking sea view and small islands
Floating Casino Cruises at Sihanouk Ville Sea Port
Koh Poah and the bridge
Day 2 14th Feb 2013: Sihanouk Ville-Koh Kong-Pattaya

Golden Sand Hotel -Sihanouk Ville

Sihanouk Ville International Port
Cambodia Casino Hotel at Koh Kong
"Good guy goes to heaven and Bad guy goes to Pattaya" just like "cup of tea" ... City experience day and night

Day 3 15th Feb 2013 Burapa Pattaya Bike Week 2013.... WAR IS OVER!
The biggest bike event in South East Asia
I have one whole day to explore Pattaya city... Taking a chance to visit a local big bike event and amaze by size and participant that arrive here........... Counting more than 7000-10000 bikers from Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia and etc.
Entrance to Burapa bike week.. Silver-lake Vineyard
Land of Custom bike...

Thai Red Indian

Gypsy and Reggae.. You can hear Bob Marley and Peter Tosh everywhere here

American influence can be seen everywhere

The event is more the same of what you are going to see through out any bike event in the US... Free flow of drinks, rock and reggae concert, girl, vintage car, custom vintage Harley and other Japanese brand, American muscle car and truck... Etc..
After few hours walked around the event, enjoying Thai bikers and mechanic creativity... End-up buying 2-3 pieces of event t shirt to bring home as a token and it's time to head up to Pattaya beach.. Relaying and self indulgence

Day 4 16th Feb 2013 Pattaya-Hua hin-Prachuap
Headed out from Pattaya early in the morning after having breakfast and we need to negotiate traffic as we pass through Bangkok city.. Nothing much today as we hit the highway.
Day 5 17th Feb 2013 Prachuap - Hat Yai-Sungai Petani
Today we aren't riding in a big group.. Its free ride and  another bored route Phet Kassem... Safely home after riding 750km around the evening...
